Some reactions from our faculty

'It is fantastic to see that, although the last few years have seen major challenges (budget cuts, COVID), our department can fully compete with the global top in the field of research and education. As a board, we are very proud of all employees in our department who together make this possible.' - Frenk van Harreveld, scientific director of the Psychology research institute (Psyres)

'Of course it is never a punishment to be named the best in the world, but a ranking is not all-encompassing. As scientists, we hope that everyone will continue to look at us critically and be able to form their own opinion.' - Bas van den Putte, scientific director of the Bachelor's degree program in Communication (College of Communication)

'Proud of our international staff, whose internationally leading, much cited research help contemporary societies around the globe to understand and develop themselves.'- John Grin. Academic Director, Amsterdam Institute of Social Science Research (AISSR)
