Prof. dr. Jochen Peter has been appointed scientific member of the Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen.

The KHMW is the oldest learned society in the Netherlands. Established in 1752, the KHMW aims to promote the sciences in the broadest sense, and to build bridges between the realm of science and society at large.

About Jochen Peter

Jochen Peter has been working at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) since 1998, initially as a PhD candidate and postdoctoral researcher, and later as an associate professor. He is a co-founder of the Center for Research on Children, Adolescents, and the Media (CCAM). He is also a member of the editorial board of several academic journals, including Communication Research and the Journal of Communication.
