  • Profile

I am a PhD researcher in political psychology at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (University of Amsterdam). I am also part of the MSCA doctoral network “Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Politics of Adolescence and Democracy” and a member of the Hot Politics Lab.

My work focuses on why, how, and for whom political (dis)interest develops? Specifically, I investigate:
    •    What are the cognitive and emotional drivers of political disinterest over the course of adolescents development?
    •    What do currently employed measures of disinterest in politics capture?
Producing research which will and can be used by non-academics (e.g., policy-makers) is one of my key concerns.
