    I am Associate Professor Communication Science at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) and the College and Graduate School of Communication Science. I am the representative and Principal Investigator in the Netherlands for Wave 7 of the World Values Survey and Wave 8 in 2024/2025 (see http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/wvs.jsp).  

    I am a member of the research group Corporate Communication (see http://www.corpcomm.nl/) at ASCoR. My research involves the influence of media use and media content on the development of modern, emancipative values and freedom. I started working as a communication scientist following a career in public relations and corporate communication amongst others at Schiphol Group/Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
