Eva van Reijmersdal received an Aspasia premium from the National Dutch Science Foundation NWO of 200.000 euro for a five-year research project.
Van Reijmersdal is an Associate Professor in the Persuasive Communication Group.
In the next five years, Van Reijmersdal will investigate how adults and children can be informed about the commercial nature of sponsored content in various media and what the consequences are for persuasion.
The Aspasia premium is linked to Vidi applications and is granted to women who were assessed as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ if there are promoted to Associate Professor after that.
Part of the premium will be put in a fund that finances extra research time for female assistant professors in the Department of Communication Science, in order to increase their chances to get promoted in the future.
More information about calls for the fund will be published early 2018.
